Commercial Pest Control Technician (Route Manager) The primary function of this role is to manage a dedicated commercial route, delivering pest control and inspection services to clients while maintaining high standards of timeliness, quality, and safety. Job Overview Sprague Pest Solutions protects businesses, food, and public health—providing solutions that make a real impact. As a Route Manager you will build relationships, solve pest problems, and grow your territory. What You’ll Be Doing Manage your own route and schedule, ensuring prompt, professional service. Identify, locate, and control pests through training and certification. Maintain and document equipment, tools, and inventory. Provide proactive guidance and solutions to clients, addressing complaints and requests. Self‑direct work, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues independently. Drive and maintain a clean, safe company service vehicle in accordance with Sprague and DOT standards. Seek opportunities to grow accounts through referrals, add‑on services, and leads for the sales team. Travel overnight up to three nights per month. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Effective verbal and written communication with customers, peers, and managers. Ability to set priorities, manage time, and deliver work to quality standards. Adaptability to varying environments and job‑site conditions. Self‑direct work with minimal supervision and ability to escal problems to manager. Attention to detail and error recognition. Conflict navigation and solution facilitation for clients and company objectives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling, mapping software, smartphone applications, and web portals.
