Client Relationship Consultant – Responsibilities Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually to provide the best possible counsel while adopting a digital‑first mindset. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs. They build and foster relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up, inquire about financial needs and channel preferences, maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products, provide an optimal client experience, collaborate with branch team members, open new accounts, complete service requests, submit credit applications, educate clients on emerging self‑service digital products, and leverage resources and technology to deliver operational excellence and accuracy. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. Applicants must comply with the required registration process, including criminal background and credit checks. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Four to five years of customer service experience. Four to five years of sales experience. NMLS registration required. Preferred Skills & Experience Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up. Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients. Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems. Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services. Proven customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience participating in sales campaigns or promotions. Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies. Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers’ needs both reactively and proactively. Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
