Registered Nurse - JTCC Oncology - F/T Days

About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals focused on expanding their knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team. Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner. Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program required. Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire. National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
