This LMFT position operates primarily in a remote setting, offering the unique opportunity to conduct therapy sessions via telemedicine as well as in-person appointments at our outpatient office in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be pivotal in conducting therapeutic sessions with couples and individual family members. Your responsibilities include:

• Facilitating therapy sessions that address various family dynamics and individual needs.

• Assisting clients with issues such as alcohol abuse, grief and loss, conflicts among family members, and communication difficulties.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
\n
• Conducting assessments to develop tailored therapy plans that suit family structures, including blended families and adjustments to separation or divorce.
\n
• Documenting patient progress and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers and referring clients to additional resources when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse client base, working closely with both adult and child/adolescent populations. Your expertise will help navigate sensitive family issues, enabling clients to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts. This focus will not only address immediate behavioral health concerns but also foster long-term resiliency and wellness.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Ability to work with a variety of clinical issues, including but not limited to family conflicts, trauma, and grief.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome recently licensed therapists, experience in family therapy is highly regarded. Candidates with a background in addressing issues related to blended families, communication barriers, and stress management will be particularly favored. Flexibility in scheduling, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, is preferred to accommodate client needs.
