Sr. Accountant

Job Description Join the Southwest Healthcare Team! Job Summary The Southwest Healthcare Regional office is seeking an accounting professional who will be responsible for supporting the accounting functions for multiple facilities across the region. Duties include but are not limited to: Ensuring accuracy of entries to the general ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts. Maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Preparing complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assisting with training of department team members as needed. Hybrid opportunity is open for discussion. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required. Three to five years of experience in accounting required; healthcare accounting experience preferred. CPA or other professional certification preferred. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title standards and guidelines. Demonstrates compliance with healthcare policies and procedures at all times. Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as to interact well with the public. Must have knowledge of PC and applications. Solid knowledge of accounting principles. Strong analytical skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Must be proficient in Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word. Must have the ability to use good judgment and critical thinking skills in all situations. Must be able to use the following: SMS, AS, Computer, Calculator (Key Proficient), Fax Machine, LaserJet Printer, AS Printer, SMS Printer.
