Human Resources Specialist

HR Specialist - FieldUnder the direction of the Division HR Director, the HR Specialist - Field will be responsible for providing a wide range of human resources support. This role will work closely with the HR Director and HR Business Partner to support the Division with general HR administration, company processes, and will also support processes to ensure compliance to applicable regulations.Major ActivitiesHR AdministrationSupport company processes including performance appraisal, peak season hiring/ramp down, learning/development, etc.Serve as subject matter expert of Workday, internal policies, and standard operating proceduresProcess Workday transactions: conduct audits, and troubleshoot, resolve and correct issues.Facilitate exit interviews and analyze data to identify and track trends that may impact retention. Present recommendations to HRD/BP.Responds and resolves first level Team Member relation issues (partners with HR Business Partner - Field for guidance on these and all other TM relations issues) with a sense of urgency.Support SMs/DMs with unemployment claims.Create ad hoc reports, audits and associated actions as requested; assist with Org Charts as needed.Support and guide store leadership in implementing HR processes, procedures, programs to promote engagement, culture, and retention.Support I&D initiatives and programsAssist HR team with miscellaneous projects and programs as needed to support business strategiesServe as back-up to HR Business Partner - FieldComplianceWork with store and district partners to resolve compliance questions/concerns; adhere to all statutory, regulatory, internal and workplace compliance.Ensure store compliance with I9 process, escalations, and resolutionsKeeps abreast of regulatory changes and developments impacting the organizationExecute Field HR exceptions reporting, including but not limited to:Workday Data Accuracy ExceptionsStaffing LevelsPeak Season Ramp DownReview, track, and assess reports to ensure stores are meeting compliance for mandatory training.Other duties as assignedMinimum EducationHigh School diplomaMinimum Special Certifications or Technical SkillsProficient skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires2 years Administrative or relevant work experienceOtherProven ability to work independently on a variety of responsibilities.Maintains very high degree of discretion and confidentialityProven ability to plan, organize, multi-task, set priorities effectively and efficiently to proactively respond to changing demands, from multiple sourcesExcellent written and verbal communication skills including facilitation skills.Takes initiative, works to be a problem-solver, and seeks opportunities for process improvement.Learn new things quickly, is resourceful and seeks out answers to questionsExcellent organization and analytical skillsPractices agility, and is a detail-oriented, self-starter.Exercises good judgment and decision-making skills.Provides prompt responses to employee questions and resolve escalated issuesKnowledge of employment law and regulationsThis position may require up to 10% travelPreferred Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPreferred EducationBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of expertise preferredPreferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills2 years Administrative or relevant work experienceAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)SHRM and/or PHR certificationFamiliarity with WorkdayPreferred Type of Experience the Job RequiresExperience working for a retailer or other multi-unit, national business
