This role is within our vibrant Department of Internal Medicine, specifically in the Division of Cardiology at our main medical center, with responsibilities extending to one of our other facilities.

About the Division

Our Division of Cardiology provides both inpatient consultative services and outpatient care for conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. We play a crucial role in training residents and are in the process of establishing "The Cardiovascular Center for Excellence" in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery and expanding structural cardiology services.

About the Position

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

• Eligible for medical licensure in California

• A passion for teaching and mentoring residents and interns

• Shared responsibilities for inpatient and outpatient care

• Inpatient rotations include:

  • Cardiology Consult Service

  • CCU Service

• Strong support from Internal Medicine residents and trainees

• Support and supervision from advanced practice providers

• Outpatient responsibilities encompass:

  • Echocardiography interpretation (TTE)

  • EKG interpretation

  • Zio Patch monitoring interpretation

  • Ambulatory cardiology clinic

  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

  • Cardioversion procedures

• Shared call schedule designed to promote work-life balance with a call frequency of every 6 to 7 days
