Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist with DEXA experience to join a busy outpatient healthcare team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for operating X-ray and DEXA equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating injuries and medical conditions while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging results.
Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for X-ray and DEXA procedures by explaining processes and positioning appropriately.
• Operate radiographic and DEXA imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Ensure patient, staff, and personal protection from radiation exposure.
• Review images for quality and repeat studies when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain image transmission through PACS systems.
• Distribute images and reports to appropriate medical personnel.
• Maintain patient records, daily logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and practice standards.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and workplace safety policies.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Maintain adequate inventory of radiology supplies and materials.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Current ARRT certification and/or state licensure as required.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred.
• Prior experience in a physician practice, outpatient clinic, or medical office setting is a plus.
• Experience performing DEXA scans preferred.

Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge

• X-ray imaging procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
• DEXA imaging procedures and patient care standards.
• Human anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
• Radiology equipment operation, maintenance, and safety practices.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and image quality assessment.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Knowledge of infection control and radiation safety procedures.
• Proficiency with PACS and electronic medical record systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, first shift.
