Finance DirectorThe Finance Director provides strategic leadership, direction, oversight, and administration of the Finance Unit for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, actively mentoring and coaching team members to foster professional growth and high performance. This position cultivates a supportive culture of inclusiveness, camaraderie, and collaboration, inspiring staff to work together effectively to achieve organizational goals. Additionally, the Finance Director is responsible for managing all accounting operations and ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing for all agency personnel. This position guides the team through compliant grant administration, detailed budgeting and forecasting, revenue administration, and transparent financial reporting in strict accordance with governmental accounting standards. The Finance Director ensures fiscal integrity, transparency, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and agency policies while supporting the organization's mission and public service objectives. This role works closely with senior leadership, partner agency finance personnel, and external auditors to ensure fiscal accountability while supporting the operational needs of the Sheriff's Office.
