Maintenance Technician I

Job Summary Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Expect 40 hours of work per week with a varied shift schedule of 8–10 hour shifts, occasional overtime, and weekend hours. No travel required. Starting Pay: $34.69 Shift: Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm, OT as required Duties and Responsibilities Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair. Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance. Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations. Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies. Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas. Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. Other duties as assigned.
