Description – What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests encompassing chemistry, hematology, immunology, and other disciplines, adhering to established protocols.
• Assess results for precision, rectify discrepancies, and undertake preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection and process samples for testing as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff and students while ensuring the lab adheres to quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary workplace while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree in conjunction with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of employment.
• Keep certification current throughout your tenure.
