If that sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for, we invite you to join us!Benefits:Paid Time Off (PTO)401k Employer MatchBonus IncentivesExtensive Training & Career Development ProgramsTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental and Vision plansEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)And more!Responsibilities & Expectations:Complete welding jobs on various structures, while maintaining high standards and consistently producing accurate work – supporting our industrial construction and electrical projects in the shop and field.Correctly design, cut, shape, and weld pieces of metal togetherPrepares materials for welding – fabricate, manufacture, grind and clean metalUtilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabricationFollow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of outputProvides feedback and input into the fabrication process regarding order of assembly, design, materials, fixtures and jigsNotes and marks up customer blueprints for future referenceConceptualizes and makes fixturesEnsures correct documentation and processes are followed for standardized work processProduces accurate work that is of high qualityInspect and test welds and equipment - ensure safety of equipment, as well as strength and tolerance of weldsQualifications and Competencies:Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.Experience level should be mid-level to experienced, not entry-levelExperienced in welding/ fabrication, including TIG, MIG, ARC, and dual-shield weldingStainless TIG experience (industrial beams, not Sheetmetal) desired.Pipe welding experience desiredFamiliar with common welding tools and proceduresBlueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols and specificationsNo formal qualification is required, but a high school diploma is preferredWelding certification or courses completed in welding techniques, a plusHandles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, using required hand tools, and lifting at least 50 poundsKnowledge of industry safety practicesCommunicate effectivelyWorks well independently and with a teamStrong basic math skills and high mechanical aptitudeDriving to jobs is a regular function of this roleMust be willing to confidently submit to the background and drug screening processYou’ll thrive at IPS if you…Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
