CNC Plasma Operator : Machesney Park, Illinois

Our customer in Machesney Park, Illinois is seeking a skilled  CNC Plasma Operator to join their team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for operating CNC plasma equipment, interpreting blueprints, producing quality components, and supporting fabrication operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the  CNC Plasma Operator :

• Operate CNC tube and pipe plasma cutting equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
• Load materials and monitor machine operation throughout the production process.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
• Verify dimensions and quality of completed parts to ensure specifications are met.
• Adjust machine settings and parameters as needed to maintain accuracy and production efficiency.
• Perform routine machine inspections and report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Assist with machine setups, material handling, and production changeovers.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

CNC Plasma Operator   Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous CNC machining and fabrication experience required.
• Experience operating plasma cutting equipment preferred.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to use measuring tools and verify part accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended time, lift and move materials, and perform repetitive movements.

Pay for  CNC Plasma Operator : $20.00-$24.00/hour.
