Crew Chief – Erosion Control
About the Opportunity
A growing erosion control and landscaping company is looking for an experienced Crew Chief to lead field crews on commercial and residential erosion control projects. If you enjoy working outdoors, leading a team, and operating equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values hard work and promotes from within.
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise erosion control crews on job sites
• Install silt fence, erosion control blankets, and straw wattles
• Assist with seeding, hydroseeding, and landscaping projects
• Operate trucks and construction equipment safely
• Read job specifications and ensure work meets quality standards
• Coordinate daily work activities and maintain productivity
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
• Promote a safe and professional work environment
Qualifications
• Valid Class B CDL required
• Previous construction or erosion control experience preferred
• Experience operating skid steers and loaders preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
