Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager

Job Description Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager. We’re seeking an experienced Licensed Manager in Facilities Maintenance Operations to oversee the predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. In this role, you’ll lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for associates and customers. Role Detail This role requires approximately 50% or more travel within the region. You will work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on their facility services needs. Work directly with different vendors and contractors if needed. Reporting and analytics. Responsible for maintaining up‑to‑date contractor licenses to uphold good standing with relevant authorities. Participate in training programs to ensure familiarity with the latest regulatory requirements, including conducting site inspections to monitor compliance and quality standards. Obtain and secure all necessary permits and schedule inspections as mandated by pertinent mechanical or building codes, when applicable. Hard Skill Sets Needed General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience – 3‑5 years preferred. Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience. Leadership skills – able to lead, motivate, and develop others. Communication/Interpersonal skills. Problem‑solving skills – root‑cause and breakdown analysis experience. Customer service. Soft Skill Sets Needed EPA Universal Certification. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma. Maintain Mechanical Contractor license in state of employment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field and 3 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or a related area; or 5 years’ experience in those fields. Preferred Qualifications Experience with general maintenance and supervising associates. Experience working on cross‑functional teams or projects. Experience in commercial electrical work. Compensation Salary range: $90,000 - $180,000. Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, geographic location, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
