Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

SCHEDULE
All shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36

REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States or any territory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS certification must be completed within six (6) months of hire.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Perform a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
- Work independently to complete assignments in accordance with doctors' orders and standards of care.
- Provide support to individuals and their families during inpatient care.
- Assist in the recovery of post-operative patients as needed.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
- COVID & Flu exemptions may be accepted after a declination form is submitted.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the start date.
