Contract | 13 weeks (extensions up to 20 weeks considered) | Nights (19:00–07:30) | 3x12 or 4x12 accepted | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Room setting serving all age ranges from infant to geriatric populations
• Manage patient assignments at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 47-bed department averaging a daily census of 130
• Float within the Emergency Room specialty as required; travelers are first to float
• Adhere to all unit protocols, compliance requirements, and scheduling expectations including holiday coverage as assigned
• Maintain active and current certifications including RN MD state license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact license at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• PALS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Locals are welcome and accepted at the applicable local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience preferred; candidates with less than 2 years but a strong clinical skillset will be considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Comfort with floating within scope and specialty with no restrictions
