Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with departmental requirements and consistent with the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and other care team members, the RN offers individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

• Regularly assesses patient pain to promote effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after appropriate interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Accurately documents care provided in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Delivers exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating and addressing patient needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring clarity by translating complex medical terminology.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• This is a full-time night position.
• Preference for candidates with Emergency Department experience.
