Airbus US Manufacturing Facility – Facilities Coordinator Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our Final Assembly Line based in Mobile, AL. The role is responsible for managing third‑party service providers for site services, ensuring coordination and reporting of facilities subcontracted maintenance contract(s) activities such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more. The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world on two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. Your working environment Located on ‘Airbus Way’, the U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft opened in 2015 at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness. Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day operational facility responsibilities for the Final Assembly Line, including subcontractor coordination with focus on key buildings. (40%) Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent impact on manufacturing operations and minimize impact on end users. (30%) Recommend and manage initiatives to increase and improve service delivery, considering cost and quality; manage KPI metrics. (30%) Manage vendors daily; identify training needs, track performance against KPIs, and communicate with stakeholders timely. Coordinate and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews within contract guidelines, ensuring proper points of contact. Cooperate and coordinate all activities with the entire Facilities Management team. Review, approve, and process invoicing for related activities. Develop and track corrective action plans regarding service delivery. Perform other duties as directed by the facility manager. Qualifications Minimum Associate degree; Bachelor’s preferred. 5+ years of subcontractor management experience; 3+ years managing budgetary requirements. Knowledge of current industry trends, best practices, and technology. Preferred focus on HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. 3+ years managing and reporting subcontractor activities in a production environment (5+ years preferred). 3+ years of facility management experience in a production environment. Operational experience using SAP preferred. Knowledge and successful application of project management practices. Analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to develop strategic solutions. Budgetary management is critical. Physical Requirements Vision: Adequate to enter and read on computer screens. Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel (10–20%). Standing: Able to stand for extended periods (50%). Travel: Able to travel sometimes (10–20%).
