Job Summary

This is an ENTRY LEVEL position. We are looking for a mature individual as a bilingual Administrative Assistant to become a part of our team.

As a front staff administrative assistant, you will be instrumental in managing the daily functions of our orthodontic practice. This includes scheduling, addressing patient inquiries in person, via phone, and through email with the utmost professionalism. Additionally, you will manage new patient consultations and onboarding, collaborate with team members and the practice manager to maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, and help manage both patient payables and receivables.

We will train an individual with outstanding communication skills in both English and Spanish, prefer previous dental administrative experience , dental software experience preferably Orthotrac and/or Sensei practice management, strong interpersonal abilities, proven organizational and management experience, and a solid understanding of apple MAC computer .

Responsibilities 

• Help oversee daily operations of the orthodontic practice


• Work closely with other team members to ensure all needs are being met


• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines


• Handle accounts payable and receivable


• Handle scheduling

Qualifications

• Demonstrate experience with dental administrative practice desired


• Strong familiarity with apple MAC computer desired


• Experience with accounts receivable and backend office management desired


• Strong time management and organizational skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

My overall approach is to ensure my primary focus for each of my patients is in this order: airway, breathing, teeth that function well, and aesthetics. Airway health is my number one focus and one that is often overlooked by other orthodontists. Having a healthy airway is the first step toward having good overall health and avoiding sleep apnea. In adults, sleep apnea can cause a lack of energy while increasing the occurrence of chronic illnesses like diabetes, severe snoring, heart disease, and high blood pressure. In children, sleep apnea can lead to learning and behavioral issues such as ADHD.
