Legal Receptionist (Customer Service)

Job Description

Busy law firm focusing on immigration and criminal defense is seeking a professional receptionist with customer service skills. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role responsibilities include answering incoming calls, routing inquiries, taking clear and concise messages, and ensuring that clients and callers feel welcome and informed. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, maintaining the firm calendar, and updating client information in the firm’s systems. The Legal Receptionist also handles incoming and outgoing mail, organizes files and documents, and supports basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry. The role requires consistent, professional communication, accurate message-taking, and close coordination with legal staff to support smooth office operations and a positive client experience.

Salary range of $50,000-$52,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fully bilingual English/Spanish

• Must have experience with multi-line phone systems and customer service/client relations.

• Strong customer service and client-facing skills, including professional phone etiquette and the ability to create a welcoming environment.

• Solid administrative and organizational abilities, such as scheduling, calendar management, filing, and maintaining accurate records.

• Proficiency with office software and tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, case management or CRM systems).

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail when taking messages and handling client information.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain composure in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in an office or customer service setting.
\n
• Previous experience in a law firm, legal office, or professional services environment is preferred but not required.
