COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE LEGAL SECRETARY

LOCATION - Addison, TX | 100% Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $65,000–$70,000 annually
• Direct Hire
• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday Business Hours

ROLE IMPACT
This position provides direct administrative and legal secretarial support to an established attorney and longtime paralegal. You'll become an important part of a small, high-performing team that has worked together for approximately 20 years. Success will come from being dependable, polished, highly organized, eager to learn, and capable of anticipating what needs to happen next.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare, type, proofread, and organize legal correspondence and real estate documents
• Assist with documents involving real estate acquisitions, sales, organizational matters, estates, and leases
• Open new client and matter files, coordinate conflict checks, and prepare engagement letters
• Create draft and final documents using document automation tools
• Organize title commitments and supporting exception documents for attorney and paralegal review
• Prepare and complete real estate closing binders
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, mail, and supporting documentation
• Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files
• Enter attorney and paralegal time accurately into the accounting system
• Answer calls, take detailed messages, and interact professionally with clients
• Prioritize assignments and deadlines while supporting a fast-paced legal practice

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills with excellent computer proficiency
• Exceptional organization, accuracy, communication, and professional presentation
• Dependable work history with the ability to prioritize deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision

 

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Recent college graduates and early-career professionals with strong potential are encouraged to apply
• Legal office, administrative, client service, document preparation, or real estate exposure is beneficial but not required
• Familiarity with PDF editing, redlining, document formatting, time entry, or legal terminology is a plus
