Quick Facts Location: Hancock, MI Start Date: 09/04/2026 Duration: Ongoing with potential for future extensions Shift: 12-hour shifts (8AM – 8PM) Hours/Week: 36 hours/week (average) Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Temporary License/Certs: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) required Experience: At least 2 years of ER experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour Benefits Include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team throughout your assignment What You’ll Do Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population Assist with patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning Collaborate with ED nurses, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams Document patient encounters using Meditech electronic medical records Manage an average of 3 patient admissions per shift Prioritize patient safety and deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced environment Support onsite orientation one day prior to your scheduled shift What You Need Active Michigan medical license, or ability to obtain Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) – required Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a hospital setting Strong communication and team collaboration skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed About the Assignment This position is at a respected facility in Hancock, Michigan, offering a supportive environment for emergency physicians. The hospital has a dedicated ED team with RN support and one APP, handling about 36 patients daily with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care. The EMR system used is Meditech, and the unit provides both complex and routine emergency services.
