Your Mission

As a Technical Sales Engineer , you will act as both a trusted technical advisor and a strategic business partner for our customers across Michigan and neighboring states

You will:

Develop and grow business with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial customers

Build and strengthen relationships with customers at factory, project, and purchasing levels

Identify customer challenges and propose technical solutions tailored to their needs

Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout the Northern U.S. territory

Promote Senstronic's sensing and automation solutions through customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations

Support project development from opportunity identification through successful implementation

Work closely with engineering, project management, and international teams to deliver customer-focused solutions

Prepare commercial proposals and support contract negotiations

Manage customer activity, reporting, and territory planning

Monitor market trends and competitive activity to uncover new growth opportunities

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

Experience

• Proven success in technical sales, business development, or account management within industrial markets

• Automotive industry experience (OEMs and Tier suppliers) strongly preferred

• Experience selling technical or engineered solutions

• Understanding of manufacturing environments and industrial processes

• Strong consultative selling approach

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset

• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Entrepreneurial and results-driven attitude

• Ability to work independently and manage a territory xhyhwjd autonomously

• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders from engineering teams to executive leadership

Languages

• Fluent English required

• Additional languages are a plus

Travel Requirements

Territory: Michigan and neighboring states

Valid driver's license required

Approximately 60-80% customer-facing travel

Home-office based position with significant autonomy
