Take on a meaningful contract role as a Physical Therapist, supporting students in a school setting near New York, NY. This in-person opportunity is ideal for a PT passionate about making a positive impact through direct interaction and targeted therapy sessions. In this role, you’ll work with students twice a week, providing essential therapy support for 1.5 to 2.5 hours per session. Your expertise will help students gain confidence, improve mobility, and reach important milestones.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in New York State
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and team members
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional gains within the school environment
- Organizational skills and reliability to attend all scheduled sessions consistently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on PT services twice weekly in a school environment
- Assess students’ needs and track progress, adjusting plans as required
- Collaborate with educators to integrate therapeutic activities into daily routines
- Document evaluations and maintain accurate records for compliance and continuity of care
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students striving to reach their potential
