The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate customer invoices and process customer payments, applying them to the correct accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations, particularly as they apply to manufacturing operations.
- Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts, including those involving raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
