Head Of IT - Europe (Defence & Space)

We are working closely with a Large International Service Provider that have a number of contracts with large European Institutions particularly in the Defence and Space Sectors. They have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Head of Sector IT whose objective will be streamlining technology decision making for the Sector. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits plus the chance to work with some exciting large customers in a leadership position with a great team of professionals. This position is mainly remote with some travel across Europe, ideally you will reside in Belgium, Holland, France or possibly Germany. This position requires a professional level of English plus either French, Italian, Dutch or German.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for technology budget, planning, targets, tracking and forecasting.
• Responsible for all technology within the Sector.
• Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with the sector and company's goals and objectives.
• Management of Sector technology resources and coordination of local execution, providing guidance, training and performance evaluations.
• Management of all technology suppliers within the Sector, coordination of their activities and monitoring of their performance.
• Responsible for the performance of technology across the Sector linked to KPI’s and SLA’s.

Skills & Experience:

• A number of years’ experience as a Head of IT
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent work experience or industry Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP
• Experience or familiarity in the Defence or Public Sector will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge across a broad range of technology areas, including infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration.
• Strong leadership, project delivery and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to technology, such as data protection and privacy laws
• Familiarity with cloud computing, enterprise software, and emerging technologies.
