Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions. We maintain one of the largest and most diversified selections of valves, actuators, actuation accessories and specialty PFF in North America, comprised of more than 50 major manufacturers. We provide in-house valve automation services, including CAD design and drawings, machine, fabrication, assembly shops featuring CNC machinery, and automation repair work.

Job Information:

The Director, Strategic Sourcing – Sunbelt is responsible for leading sourcing strategy, manufacturer selection, and commercial negotiations across assigned product categories. This role partners closely with Sales leadership to support growth initiatives and works with Inventory Management to inform stocking and working capital decisions. The role directly manages Strategic Sourcing Specialists and serves as the primary commercial owner of sourcing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-line manufacturer selection, negotiation, and strategic sourcing decisions
• Build and maintain senior-level strategic supplier relationships
• Lead and manage assigned personnel to support operational and strategic objectives
• Align sales teams to broader sourcing strategies including partnering with key account teams on AML considerations
• Partner with Inventory Management to build business cases supporting inventory decisions
• Coordinates with and supports Capital Projects teams to ensure alignment between project bids and overall sourcing strategy
• Facilitate cross-selling and cross-business-unit sourcing efforts
• Drive measurable cost improvements while supporting service and availability goals
• Monitor market conditions and supplier risks and adjust strategy accordingly

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
• Strong background in industrial distribution, flow control, or MRO environments
• Demonstrated negotiation, commercial acumen, and executive presence
• Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required and 30% travel is required.

Physical Demands

This role may require standing, walking, sitting, and frequent use of hands and fingers. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. This role may involve exposure to warehouse environments, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels during site visits.
