Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level One Trauma Center's Operating Room, specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures.

Details

• Operating Room department within a Level One Trauma Center
• 26-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Specializes in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures including Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopy, Ureteroscopy, PCNLs, Nephrectomies, and Ureteral Reimplants
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Utilizes Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Da Vinci Xi Robot equipment
• Epic EMR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours with 1:4 weekend rotation on 12-hour shifts
• On-call requirement of one overnight shift (11p-7a) for Trauma call, with specialty team call scheduled per team rules for Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, or Ortho
• May float up to 25 miles between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of CST experience required
• Level One Trauma Center experience required
• CST certification required
• License required if applicable
• Competency in Robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopy, and Ureteroscopy required
• Comfortable working with patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Demonstrate expertise in surgical technology and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Preferred experience includes General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, Ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular procedures
• Ideal candidates are flexible, accountable, timely, and strong team players
• Teal scrubs are issued by the hospital
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at the manager's discretion
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility will be considered local
• Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
