Accounts Payable Specialist

A client of Insight Global is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in Deerfield Beach, FL. This organization is one of the nation's largest secondary fragrance distributors, serving major retail chains across the United States and internationally.


Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a critical role in supporting daily financial operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This position requires a highly organized professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and maintain a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a collaborative office setting and is comfortable receiving feedback and having work reviewed for quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities
Process invoices and accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
Match vendor bills to item receipts and purchase documentation
Enter and process wire transfers and ACH payments as needed throughout the day
Support vendor payment activities while ensuring timely processing of invoices
Assist with average costing and tariff-related invoice verification
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
Maintain organized AP records and documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Utilize company systems and communication platforms, including Slack

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience processing invoices, payments, wires, and ACH transactions
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Stable work history with demonstrated tenure and reliability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience in distribution, wholesale, logistics, or inventory-based businesses
Familiarity with invoice matching, inventory costing, or tariff-related transactions
