Food Service Coordinator - FT - Anne Arundel Med Ctr

Oversee daily production in the Food & Nutrition operation in compliance with the local Health Department regulations. Working knowledge of food service operation, cooking, sanitation, general office and computer skills. Some interaction with Purchasing and Store Room when necessary; basic knowledge of inventory is needed. General leadership provided to all staff covering production and sanitation. Must maintain professional appearance along with the ability to interact with a variety of staff, vendors and leadership teams.

1. Daily monitor employee attendance and follow up with management; ensure all staff scheduled are in place with tools needed to complete assignments
2. Obtain sales records and patient count information as needed communicate findings with staff
3. Promote departmental growth in sales and Patient Satisfaction
4. Monitor spending, usage and portion control of food to keep budget under control: work closely with the Purchasing Agent on daily and special menu ordering
5. Provide leadership to Lead Sanitation and Lead Cold Prep persons
6. Coordinates catering functions with catering hostess/host
7. Oversee the daily operation of the cooking staff and area
8. Ensure all patient meals are prepared and meets all dietary standards
9. Ability to direct work as needed for a smooth operation
10. Be instrumental in the interview, orientation and training of new hires

• Must have a high school diploma and hold and maintain current Serve Safe Certification.
• One year of leadership experience in a food service setting.
• Basic knowledge of inventory is needed.

Physical Demands Heavy

Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay Range $19 $25 USD
