Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Join the medical team at Springfield Regional Medical Center, a key healthcare facility in Springfield, Ohio. This facility offers state-of-the-art services in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is looking for a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist to provide locum coverage starting June 2026. The role includes working in a supportive environment with an emphasis on both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide laborist coverage from Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM every other weekend.
• Manage labor and delivery services, focusing on both routine and complicated deliveries.
• Perform necessary obstetric and gynecological procedures, including low-risk and high-risk deliveries.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and support staff, including L&D nurses and midwives.
• Utilize the EPIC documentation system for patient management.
• Supervise nursery admissions with an average of four admissions per day in a Level II nursery.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience in high and low-risk pregnancies.
• Ability to perform a range of obstetric and gynecological procedures.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Ohio Medical License (willing to accept providers needing to obtain this license).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Active DEA registration.
• Clean malpractice record with an ability to provide a self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation.
