Work Environment

You will work in an onsite rehabilitation center equipped with the latest technologies and treatment modalities designed to ensure optimal patient experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, which includes obtaining detailed medical histories, performing specific assessments, and formulating tailored treatment recommendations based on findings.
• Communicate evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring an understanding of the therapy objectives and involving them in goal-setting processes.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that are customized to each patient's unique needs, adhering to best practices in the evolving landscape of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on observed progress or setbacks.
• Manage discharge planning effectively, ensuring every patient has a clear follow-up care plan while accurately documenting patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Meet productivity expectations by efficient time management, maintaining an accurate schedule and engaging in community-oriented marketing initiatives.
• Participate in department goal development and compliance with both governmental and accreditation regulations that govern physical therapy practice.
• Seek out opportunities for professional growth by participating in continuing education and acting as a mentor to students and new physical therapists.
• Facilitate an outstanding patient experience by being flexible and responsive to needs, promoting access, and removing barriers to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will address diverse patient needs and work toward enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity. You will utilize advanced therapeutic techniques to ensure each patient's treatment plan is aligned with their personal goals and healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program is required.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure preparedness in emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specific to outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Prior engagement in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to enhance patient care outcomes is a plus.
• Demonstrated participation in continuing education or specialized training in relevant areas of physical therapy.
