Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Full Time Clinical Supervisor Issaquah, WA, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1326 Salary Range: $30.00 To $37.50 Hourly Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Pay Range: $30.00–$37.50 per hour Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexible daytime hours FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Union Status: Non-Union Reports To: Clinical Manager of Mental Health Services Lead a Team That Makes a Difference Friends of Youth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and administrative supervision to a team of Therapists serving youth, young adults, and families. In this role, you will mentor and support clinical employees, help maintain high standards of care and documentation, respond to complex clinical situations, and carry a small caseload of clients. The Community Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will also collaborate with program, grants, compliance, and community partners to ensure services remain accessible, coordinated, and responsive to client needs. What You’ll Do Clinical Supervision and Team Leadership Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Therapists. Facilitate weekly individual and team supervision meetings. Support Therapists with crisis response, intervention planning, and complex clinical situations. Observe clinical sessions and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional development. Partner with Human Resources and program leadership to recruit, interview, select, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate employees and Interns. Communicate employee performance concerns to the Clinical Manager and Human Resources and participate in appropriate performance-management processes. Promote a collaborative, supportive, inclusive, and accountable team environment. Clinical Quality and Compliance Ensure clinical documentation complies with Washington Administrative Code, Medicaid, King County, Council on Accreditation, grant, and organizational requirements. Support the delivery of high-quality, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and client-centered services. Ensure counseling practices align with current state law, professional ethics, contractual requirements, and accepted treatment practices. Collaborate with grants and compliance teams to meet program reporting, documentation, and outcome-measurement requirements. Participate in performance and quality improvement activities. Support employees in developing group curricula, clinical resources, and service proposals. Direct Clinical Services Maintain a small caseload and provide clinical services to youth, young adults, and families. Provide assessment, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, and care coordination within the scope of the position. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation. Community and Organizational Collaboration Maintain current knowledge of local, county, school district, and community resources. Build positive relationships with community partners, referral sources, schools, and service providers. Promote collaboration across Friends of Youth programs and departments. Help coordinate services so clients can access comprehensive and integrated care. Partner with program employees to identify service gaps and opportunities to improve client support. What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or another related human-services field. Active Washington State license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT. Meets the requirements to serve as a Washington State Approved Supervisor. At least one year of supervisory, lead, or management experience. At least three years of relevant behavioral health experience working with youth or young adults. Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, coaching, or employee development. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, clinical documentation, and professional ethics. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn electronic health record and reporting systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising licensed clinicians, associate-level clinicians, or Interns. Experience providing community-based behavioral health services. Experience working with Medicaid-funded, grant-funded, or publicly funded behavioral health programs. Familiarity with King County behavioral health requirements and community resources. Experience with audits, accreditation, regulatory compliance, or quality improvement. Experience using Microsoft 365 Power Platform applications. Experience partnering with schools, community organizations, or multidisciplinary service teams. Additional Requirements Successfully pass all required criminal history and background checks. Successfully complete a tuberculosis screening. Maintain reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver’s license or obtain one by the date of employment. Maintain a driving record and automobile insurance that meet Friends of Youth requirements when using a personal or organizational vehicle for work. Complete required CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications within 30 days of employment. Why Join Friends of Youth?
