The Quality Manager will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are developed, projects are completed, and issues are resolved, all with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:· Manage and assess the effectiveness of food safety and quality policies/programs (SQF, FDA, Food Safety and Quality).· Coordinate the development and delivery of quality and food safety training programs for plant management and personnel.· Lead external regulatory or customer food safety audits. Coordinate corrective action to identified deficiencies and provide effective and timely resolutions.· Review, analyze, and react to production floor operational data and QA product tests. Use statistical tools to optimize the process.· Provide expertise to plant management in current good manufacturing practice (cGMPs), sanitary design, and sanitation practices.· Manage all employees of the department and is responsible for performance management and hiring of the employees within that departmentQualifications:· Five (5) years Operations experience in a food manufacturing company· Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred· Certification in SQF, HACCP, PCQI or other related programs.· Working knowledge of food processing, regulatory requirements, food preservation, food borne illness, food allergies, pest management, sanitary design, sanitation, and food microbiology.· Proven supervisory and leadership abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The tasks listed here provide a glimpse of the full job description.
