Scheduling CoordinatorRegions Hospital has a full-time opportunity for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team in Digestive Care!This role provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in the Digestive Care Center. Some of the responsibilities in this role are as follows:Performs clerical/receptionist appointment scheduling for all gastroenterology patients.Facilitates communication between staff, patients, families and care providers, between the unit and other hospital departments.Prepares and maintains patient records, performs data entry into the computerized patient information system; serves as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols.Consistently and accurately schedules endoscopic procedure and ambulatory clinic appointments for the Digestive Care CenterRefers requests for orders to the nurse through the use of messaging in EpicAssembles patient admission and discharge paperworkAfter discharge sends patient documents to Health Information ManagementConsistently and accurately enters patient information into EpicWork Schedule:Monday to Friday, no weekend or Regions Observed Holidays730-830 start timesMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 1 year previous clerical and/or customer service experienceScheduling ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:Degree in health care fieldPrevious experience in Ambulatory care setting and using EpicBenefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
