We’re hiring a CNC Lathe Operator for our Southwest Houston client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!  

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

1. Job Title: Aerospace CNC Lathe Operator
2. Location: Southwest Houston
3. Pay: $24+ DOE
4. Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm
5. Duration: Temp to hire
6. Description of Duties: 

Set up and operate CNC lathes for precision machining of aerospace components

Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and process sheets, including GD&T and tolerance requirements

Program at the machine or edit existing CNC programs for turning operations (roughing, finishing, grooving, chamfering)

Set up work holding for long parts (up to 10 feet), including chucks, collets, steady rests, and tailstocks

Select appropriate tooling for alloy steels and superalloys used in aerospace applications

Optimize feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions to improve cycle times and maintain quality

Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools

Maintain tight tolerances on OD size, taper, concentricity, and runout

Troubleshoot machining issues such as chatter, tool wear, and dimensional

7.Requirements:

Experience in aerospace, turbomachinery, or power generation industries

Background machining alloy steels and superalloys (e.g., Inconel, MP159)

Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 quality standards and basic SPC

Experience with 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes (including live tooling)
