Assistant Nurse Manager, Medical Surg Surgical Nights

Job Details Location: 501 REDMOND RD NW, Rome, GA 30165 Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts, 7pm-7am, rotating weekends (Full time Night shift). Sign on Bonus: $10,000 for eligible candidates. Pay Range: $32.48 - $60.42 per hour. Demonstrating critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fostering a culture of psychological safety, where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully. Promoting evidence‑based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Preparing the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within Florida Hospital guidelines and applicable regulations. [Required] Education: Bachelor's of Nursing [Required] Work Experience: 2+ years acute care nursing experience [Required] 2+ years of experience providing leadership of care team or equivalent (i.e. team leader, clinical nurse coordinator) [Preferred] Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required] Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] Additional Information: Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
