We are looking for a skilled Civil Litigation Paralegal to join a plaintiff-focused employment law practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This contract opportunity is suited for someone who thrives in a litigation setting and can keep matters organized from initial intake through resolution. The role supports attorneys handling workplace disputes such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, and leave or accommodation matters. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple active cases in both federal and state forums.

Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, from case opening through settlement or trial.
• Prepare, revise, and file a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, motions, subpoenas, and routine correspondence.
• Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy case records, ensuring documents are current, accessible, and accurately tracked.
• Monitor court dates, filing deadlines, and attorney commitments to help keep matters moving on schedule.
• Assist with investigations by gathering facts, coordinating witness outreach, and collecting relevant records and supporting documentation.
• Review and summarize personnel files, payroll information, employment records, and other materials relevant to workplace disputes.
• Coordinate discovery activities, including document collection, production management, and responses to opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal and factual research and help assemble materials for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
• Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, courts, opposing counsel, and government or administrative agencies, including support for electronic filings in federal court systems.• At least 3 years of paralegal experience in a litigation-focused legal environment.
• Prior exposure to employment law matters, ideally on the plaintiff side, is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal court practice and electronic filing procedures is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting cases through discovery and trial preparation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal case management platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced practice while maintaining accuracy and organization.
