Job Description:

• Greet everyone who comes to the desk in a kind, pleasant and courteous manner
• Places name tags on patient stretcher/beds
• Answers telephone and direct calls in a prompt and courteous manner
• Pages physician and other staff members as directed
• Maintains logs/Ensures paper forms are the most current and in adequate supply
• Makes frequent rounds to reconcile census
• Communicate effectively with patients/visitors and members of the healthcare team
• Prepares paperwork/coordinate transportation needs as directed
• Keeps track of patients movement in and out of the department
• Able to work efficiently in a high stress environment

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Keyboarding and/or Computer Skills
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Good communication skills (written, verbal and telephone)
• Legible handwriting.
• Good telephone personality/manners.

Qualifications:

Education:

Required: High School Diploma/Equiv or better.

Licenses & Certifications:

Required: BLS Cert American Heart
