Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:The AWS DBA is responsible for data analysis and database management, database automation in AWS with RDS, Lambda using Python.Database Administrators typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.Database Administrators are also responsible for understanding, configuring, and managing database administration tools.Provides database support for business applications and schedules back up jobs for user databases.Provides access control (password resets /account creation/deletion) and checks IP compliance (violation report review, compliance updates and compliance set Client).Performs data purging and data replication activities with both on-demand and automated cron jobs.Research on connectivity issues and recurring errors in Application database.Responds to database alerts and takes appropriate actions.Performs database creations.Performs performance tuning and troubleshooting for database.Performs application database maintenance and provides technical assistance to users.Manages database account access and database object changes.Ensures that monitoring and alerts are properly in place to meet monitoring requirements.Performs application database and OS scripting.Reviews Information Protection compliance reports and notifications for individual databases and internal processes (including compliance updates and compliance set Client).Performs data purging and data replication activitiesPerforms database recovery from logs, hot & cold backups, Export/Imports and Disaster Recovery.Performs database creation decommissioning and database updates/migrations to a higher/lower version or cross platform migrations. Also involved in database, schema, and object refresh activities.Monitors and reports existing database Instance, Database, Server activities for CPU, Memory, and Cache, logs performance, and recommends effective resource utilization/emergency recovery procedures.Implements database security and auditing features and periodic reviews. Conducts root cause analysis for repeated incidents.Performs heterogeneous database interface deployment and support for various data interfaces with applications, Middleware interface and functionality deployment with database architecture.Plans and develops processes for database updates and migrations to a higher/lower version or cross platform migrations.Also, involved in database, schema and object refresh activities.Develops capacity planning processes that include monitoring of existing database Instance, Database, Server activities for CPU, Memory, Cache, Logs performance and recommends effective utilization of resources and emergency recovery procedures.Conducts team training and responsible for resource management.Research new technologies to address operations reliability and compliance.Implement's and performs configuration management of database cluster and replications.Project Administrator I - HRBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent.10+ years as a Oracle DBA, with expertise in design, implementation, backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.5+ Expertise with multiple AWS DB Services, Lambda creations for automating multiple DB jobs.5+ Database automation in AWS with RDS, Lambda using Python. Preferable: Oracle, Postgres, AuroraDB.Expertise in high-availability database features, replication, disaster recovery, and live production schema changes.Proficiency with cloud-specific technologies (S3, Route 53, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, Redis), version control tools (Git), and database life-cycle management.Knowledge of database security, backup retention policies, and scaling databases.Experience with managing the full life cycle of database schema design and implementation, which includes script management from development through production releases.Experience implementing database schema changes in a live production environment requiring minimal downtime and zero performance impact.Work with customer, deployment squads, and product management to identify and document use case scenarios.Having lead on all data solution aspects including setting data standards and providing your deep technical expertise to development teams for best practices, systems, and architectures.Our client is a leading Airlines organization and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
