About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Logistics to spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive logistics strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the safe and cost-effective transportation of goods, overseeing fleet operations and third-party logistics, and driving enterprise transformation through process improvements and technology enhancements. Key responsibilities also include the development of logistics performance metrics, negotiation of transportation contracts, and ensuring that all activities align with the company's objectives. Applicants for the Vice President of Logistics position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics or supply chain management, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role, is required. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in managing logistics across diverse products and transportation modes, as well as experience in global logistics and customs activities. Strong financial acumen, advanced analytical skills, and exceptional communication and leadership abilities are essential. The position may require up to 40% travel and a presence in Pittsburgh.
