Nurse Resident

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License or Limited Permit
• CPR within 3 months of hire

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, Basic Coronary)

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air‐conditioned and heated.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Infection Control policies.
