Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand client needs and contexts, crafting personalized treatment plans anchored in evidence-based practices.
• Implement diverse therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), ensuring relevance to individual client circumstances.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential clinical documentation as per HIPAA guidelines, ensuring each client’s privacy and legal compliance in records management.
• Engage actively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, participating in regular case consultations and contributing insights to enhance collaborative care efforts.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health landscapes, treatment strategies, and community resources necessary for sustained recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State is essential.
