Production Planner

Storm Guard Roofing of Madison is seeking a skilled and organized Production Planner to join our growing office team and manage the transition of projects from sale to production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple moving pieces, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring jobs are properly planned, materials are ordered, schedules are coordinated, and customers stay informed throughout the process. Compensation: $50,000–$75,000/year + performance bonuses (based on experience and performance) Key Responsibilities Coordinate the handoff of newly sold projects from Sales to Production Review project details to ensure jobs are complete and ready to move forward Order materials and coordinate deliveries with suppliers Schedule projects with homeowners, crews, subcontractors, and vendors Maintain project timelines and proactively address scheduling conflicts Communicate regularly with customers regarding project status and expectations Track material orders, deliveries, permits, and project milestones Ensure all jobs are production-ready before installation begins Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management systems Work closely with Sales, Production, and Operations teams to keep projects moving efficiently Identify and resolve issues before they impact project schedules or customer satisfaction Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications Required Experience in project coordination, construction administration, scheduling, operations, or a related field Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and customer service abilities Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment Comfortable coordinating with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Positive attitude, coachability, and willingness to learn Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, or project management software Preferred (but not required) Roofing, siding, restoration, remodeling, construction, or home services experience Experience coordinating material orders and deliveries Knowledge of construction scheduling and production workflows Familiarity with permits, subcontractor coordination, or insurance restoration projects What We’re Looking For Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously A strong communicator who can confidently interact with homeowners, crews, suppliers, and internal teams Detail-oriented and committed to keeping projects organized and moving forward Proactive and able to identify potential issues before they become problems Customer-focused and dedicated to delivering an exceptional client experience A problem solver who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment Comfortable coordinating multiple moving pieces and maintaining accurate project records Motivated to learn, grow, and take on increasing levels of responsibility We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a desire to build a long-term career with Storm Guard.
