Long term care facility located in the rural western slope of Colorado. The primary purpose of this job is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team. The CNA will provide hands-on care and support to residents while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide assistance with feeding and hydration as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the nurse.
• Measure and record vital signs as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Assist with maintaining residents' personal belongings and living areas.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Provide compassionate care while respecting each resident's privacy, dignity, and individual preferences.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with transfers and use of mobility equipment according to established procedures.
• Support residents during recreational and social activities when required.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/license in the applicable state.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, nursing home, or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate and respectful resident care.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents with mobility as required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
