Assignment Details

Daily census of approximately 30 neonates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; preferred experience in NICU Level III or IV.
• Patient ratios of 2-3 patients.
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Key clinical skills include ventilator management, umbilical artery/vein catheter care, central line care, arterial line management, IV vasopressor administration, feeding tube management, care for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Must have a valid compact or state RN license at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates requiring respiratory support, glucose management, and post-surgical care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients for changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care plans.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and standard safety procedures.
