Tableting Supervisor

Location: Dallas, TX 75238

Schedule: Monday Friday, 5:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 $24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tableting Supervisor to oversee tablet press and coating operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all tableting and coating activities are performed in accordance with approved operating procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, training, and operational support while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all tableting and coating operations are conducted in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Supervise daily tablet press and coating operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative or corrective maintenance activities with the Maintenance department.

• Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production performance.

• Assign daily tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure production goals are met.

• Assist with tableting and coating machine setup and changeovers.

• Conduct new employee orientation, safety training, and on-the-job training for department personnel.

• Ensure employee training records remain current and support cross-training initiatives as needed.

• Reinforce approved operating procedures and safety practices throughout the department.

• Complete and review production documentation, ensuring Batch Production Records are accurate, complete, and compliant.

• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and prepare production reports and related documentation.

• Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and manufacturing-related issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Laboratory teams to resolve product quality concerns.

• Perform routine production floor inspections and spot checks to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

• Communicate production issues, scheduling changes, equipment concerns, and departmental needs to management in a timely manner.

• Partner with Human Resources and management to address employee performance concerns and support employee development.

• Recommend process improvements and efficiency enhancements to department leadership.

• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Gather materials from storage locations for machine setup and production activities.

• Assist with tableting and coating operations as needed to support production requirements.

• Support department goals through teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous manufacturing experience required.

• Minimum of 36 months of experience as a Tablet Press Operator with an understanding of coating processes.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong mathematical and computer skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

• Sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods, up to 4 hours at a time.

• Ability to remain standing and stationary for long periods.

• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching overhead or below waist level.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to operate a pallet jack safely.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, lab coat, hair net, face mask, respirator, hearing protection, and other safety equipment as required.

Work Environment

This position operates within a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Employees are expected to follow approved procedures, maintain cleanliness and organization, and work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Laboratory teams to ensure the production of safe, high-quality products.
