Position Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role requires a customer-focused IT professional who can effectively troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting users with a variety of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for desktop and laptop systems.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, operating system, application, and peripheral issues.
• Perform hardware repairs and replacements as needed.
• Support end users through in-person, phone, and ticket-based interactions.
• Manage and update support requests through an IT service management platform.
• Assist with workstation imaging, deployment, and equipment setup.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
• Document troubleshooting efforts, solutions, and support activities.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and effective communication.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience configuring, installing, and supporting computer equipment.
• Experience working with an IT ticketing or incident management system.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic understanding of network troubleshooting concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Desktop Support, Service Desk, Help Desk, or End User Support roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise desktop operating systems and productivity applications.
• Familiarity with hardware deployment, device imaging, and workstation migrations.
• Ability to support both onsite and remote users.
• Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude and exceptional customer service skills will be considered.

Experience Level: Intermediate (Junior candidates with strong technical knowledge and communication skills may also be considered.)

This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
