Medical Records Position Available

Olympic Internal Medicine seeks a Medical Records Clerk to join our Internal Medicine Practice. The candidate will be joining a well-established, respected practice in Kitsap County. Our ideal Medical Records Clerk will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, processing, and maintaining patient medical records. Applicants should have 1-2 years’ experience in medical records with excellent attention to detail. Experience in a primary care clinic is ideal. This position requires multi-tasking ability, being able to work well in a dynamic environment, and complete understanding of HIPAA laws as they apply to the medical office. Teamwork is essential. Applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills. We are open Monday-Friday, no evenings, or weekends. Major Duties:

Maintains proper medical records, process medical records requests, send and receive faxes, answer multi-line phones, schedule patients, indexing records from outside entities, forward documents via the Patient Portal, mail reports and sort and distribute mail.

Minor Duties :

Backup front reception desk and assist with referrals and keep all forms needed by office stocked.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Superior organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Knowledge and skill in the use of scanner and fax
• Knowledge of HIPAA medical privacy regulations and practices

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

Prior work history in a medical office, customer service experience is preferred.

Full-Time

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Salary Range:

$21-$25 per hour
